Policies

KEYS:

For Pet Sitting – Two keys are required.  Free key return after first service.  Free key pick-up for second service.  Additional key return or pick-up is $12.  No charge to keep keys on file for future service.

For Mid-day Dog Walking – Two keys must be kept on file.

Garage codes may be used, but in case of power outage a backup is recommended.

PAYMENT:

For Pet Sitting – First reservation, 50% deposit due for reservation, balance due upon return.  Additional reservations – Please leave check in your home with any notes about changes since last service.

For Mid-day Dog Walking – Invoice will be e-mailed monthly.  Please mail or leave payment.  Monthly Services Discount will be given for all weeks of services.

Overnights – Because of limited availability, 50% non-refundable deposit is required for reservation and balance is due upon start of service.

HOLIDAYS:

We charge an additional fee during holidays.  The holiday surcharge is in addition to normal pet sitting rates, is non-refundable, and is required to be paid in advance at the time you book your reservation.

Please note that all regularly scheduled midday dog walking services will be cancelled on Federal holidays.  If you are a regular midday dog walking client and need a dog walk during the holiday, please contact us to schedule a pet sitting visit.

CANCELLATION:

Our cancellation policy reflects our desire to be as flexible as possible regarding your pet care needs. You are free to cancel any visits that you do not need us to come as scheduled.  For mid-day walks, please text or call by 9:00am, preferably the night prior for scheduling.  For pet-sitting, please text or call at least 4 hours prior to your pets visits timeframe.  You will not be invoiced for the canceled visit.  PLEASE DO NOT E-MAIL FOR CANCELLATIONS.  Text and voicemail may be received 24 hours/day.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

Midday Dog Walks

  • Federal Government closes:  All midday walks will be cancelled at no charge to the client.
  • Federal Government remains open:  Please let us know if you choose to stay home due to adverse travel conditions.  We ask that you contact us at 703-973-5069 call or text by 9am the day of service so that we have time to inform the sitter and to avoid being charged for that day.
  • Pampered Pet Services reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel midday walks due to weather, national emergency, and/or other emergency.  You will be notified of any cancellations.

Pet Sitting

For pet sitting clients, we request that you provide us with emergency backup relatives or neighbors that can help out during those times where road conditions prohibit us from reaching your home.  We will take every step possible to ensure the safety of your pet which may require us to bring them home with us or find alternative boarding.

EMERGENCY CARE:

All clients must have Veterinary Emergency form on file.  If there is an emergency, we will contact you at your emergency number.   If you are not able, we would consult your Veterinarian or a local emergency Vet.
